Y-Care is a joke. Half of their staff do not know their policy for administration of emergency epinephrine for children. I was finally contacted by a supervisor that told me they DO administer emergency epinephrine but when I tried to call back there was no return call and at that point I didnโt trust them to provide care for my food-allergic child. Unfortunately, I had already enrolled my other child into 3 weeks of summer camp and decided to let keep him enrolled because he had signed up with a friend. In case your child happens to have any sensory or behavioral issues, the staff is largely unequipped to handle it (except for Emma, she was very kind). They sent my child home early multiple days and also suspended him for 2 days within a 2 week period. One day that he was sent home early was not even for a severe behavioral issue - he just would not talk to anyone and they were understaffed according to the person that called me and letโs face it, they arenโt trained to handle sensory issue kiddos. I had to leave work early to get my child and scramble to find alternate childcare on suspension days. On top of that, Ycare has a no refund policy so not only do they keep your money f

Great introduction level experience- Kids had a fun environment to learn a sport for the 1st time and not have it be hyper competitive with new players trying to compete against all star level kids.

I was not very pleased with the overall cleanliness of the Briggs YMCA facility. The filthy, scuffed up gym, accumulated dust on the various surfaces, the fruit flys from the unclean showers. Also it seems people take to blocking the lockers with benches. Poor locker room etiquette, hostile atmosphere. No enforcement by the staff. Also they tend to close their locker rooms sporadically. Minor gripe. They do not live up to their core values, their mission statement in short. Its just talk. They were very RESISTANT to removing swastikas painted on the street near there facility. Now this argument that its city property is one thing. But it is UNFORGIVABLE to take children to play right next to it. Questionable as to the motives of the childcare operators IMO and branch. open discussion of Christian nationalism and the appeal to heaven nonsense are the topics of conversation? Unpleasant to be around. impolite to talk about religion, romance, politics around strangers. And to not respect people's right to peace in a shared space. Briggs YMCA doesn't seem to care about non Christian customers? Im patient but a PITY PARTY is a lot to take, those poor Christians ๐ I'm a former group l

We had a great experience apart from our team, losing some of its previous players and gaining way too many new players. My son was one of only two boys on the team, previously. The other boy happened to be his best friend so it was fine. Even though they requested to stay together and they were on the same team previously, the YMCA did not put them together. They did, however, put several other new kids on the team, so that we had almost as many as eight more players than a lot of the other teams, leaving each kid very minimal playing time in each game. I cannot say enough about our coach, though. He was fantastic, as was our assistant coach! Overall, we would sign up again, but we really wish whoever manages building teams could figure out how to do it more equitably. I imagine that it is a gargantuan task, however, his best friend ended up on a team that was half our size with all new players. This doesnโt help the individual nor the teams!

We loved as family attending to the volleyball practices and of course to every single game. The coaches were very supportive. It was a great experience, we canโt wait for the next season.
